This is our personal experience of The Valley Garden in Ciudad Quesada, a holistic wellness space offering massage therapy, Reiki, reflexology, and natural health products.
Finding the right Therapist
Finding the right massage therapist is never straightforward. Everyone has different needs, expectations, and past experiences, so recommendations only go so far. That said, when Anuska was recommended to me for a deep tissue massage in Ciudad Quesada, it felt like the right opportunity to try something new.
The Space
Her therapy room is located within The Valley Garden, a charming and somewhat hidden holistic health store just a short walk from the arches in Ciudad Quesada. The shop itself is a discovery—filled with organic health foods, essential oils, incense, herbal remedies, and crystals, all contributing to a calm and grounded atmosphere. It immediately sets the tone for relaxation and healing.
Anuska’s warmth is evident from the outset, and this is reflected throughout the space. She is supported by her colleague Silvia, who brings the same sense of kindness and authenticity. Together, they create an environment that feels welcoming, unhurried, and genuinely centred around wellbeing.
The treatment itself is where the experience truly stands out.
I booked a 90-minute deep tissue massage, and from the beginning it was clear that Anuska brings more than just technique—there is a level of intuition and presence in her work that is difficult to describe but easy to feel. The treatment was both therapeutic and deeply relaxing, releasing tension while maintaining a sense of calm throughout.
The results were not just immediate. In the days that followed, there was a noticeable sense of relief and physical ease, which led me to return the following week for another session, this time including reflexology.
