Our experience with Toldos Costa Blanca
We thought we had left this mentality behind when we moved from Ireland. But we were wrong. Lloyde came to give us a quote, a nice guy with perfect English, but I can only assume the Porsche in the drive and the House we live in drove the price up.
He sent us a quote for €12090, including IVA and installation, I felt the quote was very high, as I expected something around €6000 for what we had installed, so we sought a second quote from another Toldos company. Interestingly, both companies use the same fabric catalogue. Their quote was €5800, IVA inclusive.
Lloyd called me a few days later and asked if we could proceed, I explained what had happened and he appeared to became angry and hostile on the telephone, to the point I told him I was about to hang up.
I cannot recommend any company that quotes for work that is over double the price of another company.
When you get caught over quoting – be graceful and walk away.
