This is our opinion of Algo Hlthe – Great Health Food Alternative.
We went to visit a new Health café & wellness bar at Via Park 2 on Saturday called Algo Hlthe.
Hidden Gem
It’s tucked away toward the rear of the Via Park 2 centre, and you might easily miss it at first glance, as the signage doesn’t immediately suggest a place to eat. But it is there—and it’s brand new.
We were lucky to get the last available table at 1pm. From the moment we sat down, I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful décor and the clear attention to detail. Everything felt fresh, thoughtful, and calm—very much in keeping with the ethos of the place.
Food & Service
The servers were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which always sets the tone. We opted for an Açaí Smoothie Bowl (€9.50) + Additional Topping, and the Waffle Algo, which comes with smoked salmon and a perfectly soft egg (€7.50). Alongside that, we had two coffees—excellent flavour—and one of their speciality smoothies, The Nutty Power.
The food was fresh, tasty, and surprisingly filling. Nothing felt heavy or overworked; it was simply good food done properly.
We learned during our visit that they had only opened in the days prior. Their concept is clear: healthy food without sacrificing taste, aimed at people who genuinely care about nutrition and mindful eating.
We wish them every success. Places like this deserve to do well—and judging by our experience, they likely will.
