Parque El Recorral is a landscaped natural park located on the outskirts of Rojales. In the Vega Baja region of Alicante, on Spain’s southern Costa Blanca. It is a well-maintained public green space designed for recreation, environmental education, and biodiversity conservation.

Commune with Nature
It is a Special place with Artificial Lagoons & Wetlands. The park is built around a series of man-made lagoons. These wetlands support local birdlife (ducks, herons, migratory species). Encouraging amphibians and native Mediterranean flora and act as a small ecological restoration project in the region.
It’s a surprisingly peaceful setting considering how close it is to urban areas.
Walking & Cycling Trails
Well-maintained circular walking routes, suitable for casual strolls, light hiking, or cycling, mostly flat and accessible and ideal for families, dogs, and relaxed exercise. A full loop typically takes 60–90 minutes at an easy pace.
Picnic & Barbecue Areas
One of its biggest attractions is the shaded picnic tables. Together with the built-in barbecue facilities and pine woodland surroundings. It’s popular with local families, especially on weekends.
Educational Nature Route
There is a themed path often referred to as “The Trees Speak”. It has interpretive signage explaining, native plant species, environmental awareness topics and ecological balance and conservation. Good for children and school visits.
Atmosphere
The park feels beautifully quiet and open, with a family-friendly sense and safe and clean. It’s not a dramatic natural landscape — more a structured, accessible nature park — but it serves as an excellent local escape from coastal urbanisation.

The entry id free, open year-round, best times are morning or late afternoon (especially in summer) and parking is available on site.
